BEST PRACTICE DAY DURING MEETINGS WEEK POLAND – MARCH 21, 2018

For the sixth time, associations and entities working for the development of the Polish MICE market are organizing Meetings Week Poland. The event, under the slogan “Networking Strength”, will be held on March 19-23 at the Main School of Tourism and Recreation in Warsaw.

Meetings Week Poland’s goals include: demonstrating the scale of the meetings industry in Poland, its importance for the economy and bringing together people from all over the environment, setting directions for the development and promotion of business tourism, improving staff and supporting non-formal education in the industry, exchanging opinions and presenting good practices relevant to the future of professionals responsible for the implementation of various events, conferences and congresses.

SOIT and SITE Poland are hosting the Best Practice Day conference on March 21, 2018.

In program:

Essential knowledge for professional organizers and clients of tourist events!

High standards of running incentive travel projects, business ethics, market regulation related to the new Act on tourist events, good practices in cooperation between agencies and purchasing departments, as well as safety of trips and clients.

What will we discuss?

What changes and consequences for the organizers is the new Act on tourist events introducing?

What sanctions threaten companies for actions that do not comply with the Act?

What is the security in the form of an insurance guarantee (first pillar) and the Tourist Guarantee Fund (second pillar)?

What should the customer pay attention to when choosing an agency?

How to effectively cooperate on the client-agency line?

How to conduct a tender to get valuable, reliable and creative offers?

How to prepare for and respond to various threats, e.g. terrorist attacks, assaults, petty thefts, cultural differences, diseases, vaccinations.

9:30 – 10:00 Registration, morning coffee and networking

10:00 – 11:20 Responsibilities of tour operators (expert presentation and discussion panel with representatives of the Marshal’s Office, TUiR AXA and practitioners from the incentive travel industry)

11:20 – 11.40 Coffee break and networking

11:40 – 13:00 Industry dialogue – Good Tender. How to effectively cooperate on the line agency – purchasing departments? Recommended tender model in the incentive travel category. (expert presentation and discussion panel with representatives of agencies and procurement)

13:00 – 14:00 Lunch and networking

14:00 – 14:30 Services for tour operators (partner presentations)

14:30 – 16:00 Travel safety (expert presentations – Łukasz Szozda (Outlander) and Radosław Szafranowicz-Małozóch (Tourism Staff) – will introduce conference participants to both an overview of the topic of threats during foreign trips, as well as issues related to practical preparation and proper responding to possible threats).

16:00 – 16:30 Summary of the conference
