On April 5-6 this year The National Student and Doctoral Tourism Scientific Conference ECONFTOUR took place, which was combined with the fifth edition of the free Student Training of the Event Industry – EventFocus.
As part of the event, participants could participate not only in student and doctoral sessions, but also participated in lectures conducted by practitioners from the event organization industry (representing key Polish associations – SBE, SOIT and SITE Poland). Dedicated workshops were a perfect complement to the conference sessions and industry lectures, during which each participant could feel like a real event manager.
One of the speakers was Agnieszka Muszyńska, the University of Physical Education in Warsaw, SITE Poland, whose subject was: “Place in a place, or a few words about the role of objects in Incentive Travel programs”
Katarzyna Janik, representative of the Krakow Convention Bureau, talked about the functioning and potential of the Convention Bureau,
The SOIT Association was represented by Agnieszka Lewandowska. During her lecture, the training participants could learn about Destination as a venue in Incentive Travel.
The next speaker was Tomasz Śleziak, a representative of SBE, who talked about design and its importance in creating events.
The event’s substantive partners were: SBE – Event Industry Association, Site Poland – Society for Incentive Travel Excellence and SOIT – Association of Incentive Travel Organizations.
The event was organized by the Department of Tourism of the Cracow University of Economics and the Krakow Convention Bureau with the support of the InvenTur Scientific Circle of Tourism and Recreation. Syskonf and SMSApi were the technological partners.
