My name is Agnieszka Sikorska and I’ve worked in the tourism industry for 25 years. I have experience in hotel management. Since 2005 I’ve been managing the Silesian Tourist Organization office. Seeing the dynamic growth of business tourism in the region, I initiated the establishment of the Silesia Convention Bureau. We operate in the meeting industry and promote the region as a business event destination. I also manage the Forum of Regional Tourist Organizations and I act as an expert during consultations in the field of tourism. I’m passionate about food and an ambassador for regional cuisines.

For two decades, the Silesian Tourist Organization has been promoting the tourism proposal of the Silesian Voivodeship and supporting the development of the region’s tourism services. We have achieved a lot during this time. We established the Regional Tourist Information System and the “Silesian Tastes” Culinary Trail, one of the first culinary tourist routes in the country, winner of the European Commission’s EDEN Award for Best European Tourist Destination in 2015. The region is distinguished by the number of Certificates of the Polish Tourist Organisation for the best tourist products, including 5 Gold Certificates, and the largest number of tourist destinations in the country awarded the Polish Tourist Brand (4).

The Silesia Convention Bureau operates within the Silesian Tourist Organization. Established in 2023, it was one of the first regional convention bureaus in Poland. The office is certified as a Recommended Convention Bureau by the Polish Tourist Organization. We are a member of key national and international industry associations. We operate as a consortium and bring together several dozen partners of the regional meeting industry.
