About me
Iwona Majewska
Director of the Mazovia Convention Bureau
Mazovia Regional Tourist Organization
I have been involved in the tourism industry for nearly 30 years. I graduated with a degree in history from the University of Warsaw, and I gained my first professional experience working as a tour guide, among other roles. I also worked at the Polish Tourism Development Agency, where I was involved in domestic and international projects, tourism development strategies, and the creation of tourism products and brands.
Since 2008, I have been working at the Mazovia Regional Tourist Organization (MROT), and since 2023, I have been closely involved with the Mazovia Convention Bureau, which operates within MROT, where I am responsible for the development and promotion of Mazovia as a destination for conventions, conferences, business events, and incentive trips.
In my work, I combine strategic experience with practical knowledge of tourism and collaboration with regions. I enjoy people, meetings, and exchanging experiences. I believe that every conversation can bring new inspiration, a connection, or an idea for a joint project. That’s why the meetings industry is particularly close to my heart—it allows us to connect people and places and create new value together.
What gives me the most satisfaction is discovering the potential of Mazovia and showing that the region has everything organizers of unique gatherings and events need: diverse venues, a rich heritage, nature, professional partners, and proximity to Warsaw.
In my personal life, I’ve always loved history, and my passion is combining it with the world of tourism—two fields that are very closely related and complement each other. I’m curious about the world and people, and on every trip I seek not only new places but also the stories and experiences that give them their unique character.
