Krzysztof Michniewicz holds a Masters in Tourism and Recreation and is a postgraduate in Marketing and Management. From 1995 to 2002, he was responsible for marketing in British American Tobacco and Air Tours Poland. He is the Founder and President of the board of ICP Group.

He is a long-time member of the Board of SOIT (Polish Society of Incentive Travel Organisers) and is the former President. He has been a member of SITE since 2003 and was founder and first President of the SITE Polish Chapter, a member of the Chapter Source Committee and part of international team on the board of SITE Global, supporting SITE Chapters worldwide in various areas, including membership, marketing, development and succession planning.

He is very active in the local and international MICE industry. He is a keen promoter of CSR activities in the industry, and, since 2012 was part of the coalition “CEOs Volunteers” to promote social involvement among business leaders. He was a member of the jury for the “Man of knowledge and experience” award, which aims to award people who volunteer to share their knowledge and professional experience. in 2014, he was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by the President of Poland for philanthropic activities and contributions to building civil society. He also obtained the Diploma of Recognition from the Minister of Economy to mark the 25th anniversary of the Polish transformation, in recognition of his involvement to promote the idea of entrepreneurial spirit and of commitment and contribution to the development of the Polish economy. He holds the Personality of the Year 2008 title, awarded by MICE Poland magazine and, in 2019, was awarded the Kevin Forde Spirit Award *for his contribution and commitment to SITE Global as the only Pole.
